• Mountain Bike Guiding 01

“It’s the natural trails I went for and Tom delivered with 2 days of off-piste riding in perfect summer weather. New friends, new trails and new memories. Well done team. See you in Scotland” Wendy Welch-Smith, Herts

Why a guided ride?

Mountain biking is about flowing trails running through mouth-watering scenery, not map reading. It’s about exercise and excitement, not worrying about where you are and how you can shorten your day if the weather turns, or someone has a mechanical. It’s about stretching yourself enough, but not too much. It’s about improving and learning new skills. And most of all it’s about exploration: new trails, new mountains, new valleys, new areas and perhaps even new countries.
Time on your bike is short, make the most of it and let us choose the route, do the navigating, check the weather, and even find the tea shop or pub.

Why ride with us?

We love the mountains, remote places and riding bikes. It’s our mission to create unique and inspirational mountain bike adventures, breaks and holidays and to share our passions with our customers.

Our experience

With over 15 years’ experience of route research, working for mbr magazine and writing guidebooks, Tom has probably explored more trails than anyone else in the country. (links on mbr?)

Our qualifications

Tom has been awarded British Cycling MTB Leader Level 3 – the highest award available in the UK, and is also a qualified Mountain Leader (MLS). Steph holds the Level 2 award. Our safety procedures and environmental practices have been assessed by an independent technical expert for our accreditation by both Visit Wales/MB Wales and Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland.

Our philosophy

As well as having our own environmental and ethical policies, we’re also signatories to the North Wales Environmental Charter and members of the Wilderness Foundation (UK). Tom was a founding member of OpenMTB Advocacy Group and sits on the Snowdon Mountain Bike Agreement committee and the North Snowdonia Local Access Forum. We also support the Rhodd Eryri/Snowdonia Giving scheme to put something back into our local environment.

Our customer service

We truly appreciate our customers and hope they will return again and again. Please ask about our Returning Customer Discount Scheme.

Your money is absolutely safe

To comply with the Package Travel, Package Tours and Package Holidays Regulations 1992, the money you pay us is held independently by Serenity Travel Trusts until your holiday is over. This means that in the unlikely event of our financial failure, you will be able to get a full refund. No money is actually paid to us until you have satisfactorily completed your trip. We are one of very few UK mountain bike holiday companies that offer this peace of mind. See  Serenity Travel Trust  for more information.
