The UK has some of the best mountain biking in the world, and after 19 years of route research for mbr magazine (and a good few guidebooks too), we know where to find them. We love the mountains and remote places, and we love riding bikes. We want to share these passions with our customers.

We’ll make it easy

We take the work out of getting away with your bike, whether it’s a weekend, a long weekend or even a whole week. In addition to the best trails, we handpick the best accommodation, provide all the transport, with our own dedicated driver, and of course take you to the best local pubs and restaurants.

We’ll make it fun

Mountain biking is about having a great time, as well as riding mountain bikes. You’ll be staying in amazing places, with great people with similar interests to yourself. There’s always plenty to chat about and the odd mishap to laugh about. Come by yourself or with others – many long-lasting friendships have started on one of our trips.

We’ll look after you

As well as great trails, we love good food and drink, and also enjoy a few home comforts. If we’re cooking, the food’s provided by our own chef – all diets can be catered for – and if we’re eating out, the restaurant, pub or hotel will have been hand-picked. Where possible our packed-lunches are hand made or come from small local delis, and we are also a dab hand at impromptu picnics. You won’t go hungry and we have a few real gems to share…

Do you really need a guide?

Mountain biking is about flowing trails running through mouth-watering scenery, not map reading. It’s about exercise and excitement, not worrying about where you are and how you can shorten your day if the weather turns, or someone has a mechanical. It’s about stretching yourself enough, but not too much. It’s about improving and learning new skills. And most of all it’s about exploration: new trails, new mountains, new valleys, new areas and perhaps even new countries.

Time on your bike is short, make the most of it and let us choose the route, do the navigating, check the weather, and even find the tea shop or pub.

Our experience

With over 15 years’ experience of route research, working for mbr magazine and writing guidebooks, Tom has probably explored more trails than anyone else in the country.

Our qualifications

Both Steph and Tom hold the Level 3 British Cycling MTB Leader Award – the highest qualification available in the UK. Tom is also a qualified Mountain Leader (MLS). All safety procedures and environmental practices have been assessed by an independent technical expert for accreditation by both Visit Wales/MB Wales and Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland.

Our philosophy

As well as having our own environmental and ethical policies, we’re also signatories to the North Wales Environmental Charter. Tom was a founding member of OpenMTB Advocacy Group and sits on the Snowdon Mountain Bike Agreement committee and the North Snowdonia Local Access Forum. We also support the Rhodd Eryri/Snowdonia Giving scheme – a local initiative that enables us to contribute to the upkeep of the paths and facilities we use.

Your money is absolutely safe

To comply with the Package Travel, Package Tours and Package Holidays Regulations 1992, the money you pay us is held independently by Serenity Travel Trusts until your holiday is over.
